Smooth and energetic on the palate, showing appealing sweetness and firm mineral spine to the dark berry and cherry liqueur flavors. Lots of bacon fat, cracked pepper, some green herbs, licorice and blackberry fruit. Les Lzardes is a juicy, lively, satisfying Syrah thats ideal for drinking over the coming 3 4 years. Various parcels from the northern edge of Cte Rtie, mostly bottom slope. Rene is also using fruit from a Cte Rtie vineyard
