Julius Vom Hofe Raised Square Pillar Fly Reel (Size 2) Marc Aroner "The Jenkins Rod" engraved onFor sale here is a wonderful example of a Julius Vom Hofe german silver ebonite fly reel with squared raised pillars. Size 2 (diameter 2 5 8" pillar to pillar or 2 1 4" without pillars). 7 8" pillar length. Weight 5 1 8". The reel is in excellent overall condition. Made for "J Dukehart & Co. Baltimore" (stamp on the backplate reads "J. D. & Co. Balte"). The dished head plate adds a nice flair as does the knurled crank screw and slightly raised rim.
