of a seven hectare island of vines in the commune of Artigues on gravel terraces
This is a like a cross between Limoncello and eau de vie
with 18 days of maceration and frequent pump overs
Racy nose with wonderful mineral presence backed by fruit
broad red fruit and an earthy character
Vietti, Nebbiolo, Barolo "Castiglione" Piedmont, Italy 2021 375ml orange of a seven hectare islandThis wine is aged for thirty to thirty six months prior to bottling. It is, quite simply, a ferocious wine, unique in its uninhibited expression of the smells and flavors of the appellation. No compromise here. On the nose explosive, opulent, charming and immediate. Hints of plum, ripe red and black cherry, blackberry, sour cherry, rose petals and tobacco. On the palate it is classic, rich, powerful, with notes of Alpine herbs and a leather finish.
