The rats were randomly divided into 4 groups (each group of 20 rats): group A1 (normal control group under normoxia), group A2 (normal control group under normoxia, received low-dose l-carnitine at 50 mg/kg), group A3 (normal control group under normoxia, received high-dose l-carnitine at 100 mg/kg), group B (plateau model control group, received injecting normal saline), group C (low-dose l-carnitine intervention altitude model group, received 50 mg/kg l-carnitine) and group D (high-dose l-carnitine intervention altitude model group, received 100 mg/kg l-carnitine)
