Subsequently, liraglutide (Saxenda) was approved in 2014 for the treatment of obesity up to a maximum dose of 3.0 mg subcutaneously once daily in people with a BMI 30 kg/m 2 , or 27 kg/m 2 and obesity-related co-morbidity [9, 17]
