Phosphatidylcholine and lecithin are often used interchangeably to mean, "purified phosphatidylcholine." This can be a misleading as lecithin extract is actually a complex mixture of phospholipids, glycolipids, and triglycerides, containing less than 20% total phosphatidylcholine composition
