To qualify, you must be 18, have Medicare Part D (prescription drug coverage) and meet the programs clinical criteria: A BMI of 35 or higher A BMI of 30 or higher and one or more of the following conditions: a diagnosis of heart failure with preserved ejection fraction, uncontrolled hypertension while on at least two blood pressure medications, or chronic kidney disease stage 3a or above A BMI of 27 or higher and one or more of the following conditions a diagnosis of pre-diabetes, a previous heart attack or stroke, or symptomatic peripheral artery disease Those with type 2 diabetes, moderate to severe obstructive sleep apnea, or MASH (fatty liver disease) are ineligible for the Medicare GLP-1 Bridge program

Question is, given that GLP-1s show incredible promise to dampen cravings across substances and behaviors, how do we ensure patients can (responsibly) access these meds
They will need to match or improve on current performance and have fewer, or less serious side effects
