On the palate, it is medium bodied, with soft tannins and a fresh, lingering finish. The grapes were hand harvested at El Holgazn, a group of vineyards located at an altitude of 920 m in the northernmost region of the Ribera del Duero. The vineyards were planted between 1992 and 1996 on loamy sandy soils.
