Shibu Uchiwa Shomaru von Kurikawa Shoten Hakusan 'SOL Earrings'The Shibu Uchiwa Shomaru from Kurikawa Shoten is a hand crafted fan made in Kutami City, one of Japans three historic centers of Uchiwa production. The tradition dates back to 1600, when a monk introduced the craft from the famous fan making city of Marugame to Kutami. The fine washi paper is coated with persimmon tannin, a natural treatment that strengthens the paper, protects it from insects, and develops a warm patina over time. This fan is also
