40’s/50's Black and White Swirl Print Midi Shirt Dress faded dark wash jean Simple band collarElegant early 50s (or late 40s) "New Look" silhouette dress! No tags, looks to be home sewn. The fabric seems to be a satin acetate with a faux shantung silk texture. The print is quintessentially mid century: large black, white and grey swirls, very atomic and hypnotic! Empire seamed bodice (shelf bust) has V shaped collar. There are gathers under the bust and dolman 3 4 sleeves with gussets under the arms. The inverted V waist is formed by a series
