That said, there isnt a control deck out there that should leave home without three copies of Aether Gust, with some in the maindeck, in order to defeat the top three decks of the format.
First, it's a flying creature, which gives it an advantage over non-flying creatures that don't have Reach as it can't be blocked
Then you can make it into an artifact with cards like Liquimetal Torque because there are a lot more untap artifact effects, like every card that starts with Voltaic. This deck is a little fragile and janky, but King Macars stock keeps going up as more and more cards get indestructible
