There are a ton of black-based decks that love to sacrifice things (and drain and gain, for that matter), so I think this will see some play
Id say it passes the test, though Im not sure Im playing outside of counters decks
Its surely an art direction choice (maybe Takahashi himself) since they simply give priority to a clear understand of the showcased character in the card even from the distance, during a match, or in the manga/anime
