Im a huge Final Fantasy fan and a lapsed MTG player and I hadn't touched the game in a decade until this set came along

At the beginning of each players draw step, that player draws an additional card

There are a couple of outliers I didn't delve too deeply into that are still impactful, like Field of Ruin (and its relevance to the various creature lands in Standard) and other creatures like Graveyard Trespasser // Graveyard Glutton

The key difference is that these cards cause creatures to be sacrificed rather than destroyed if the mana is not spent to protect them
