It's the risk you take to play the big spells
Since ninjutsu is an ability, it can't be countered by most counterspells, making it easy to guarantee Ink-Eyes connects for damage
To determine a spell's total cost, start with the mana cost (or an alternative cost if another card's effect allows you to pay one instead), add any cost increases (such as kicker), then apply any cost reductions
The Emerald cards seem less focused, with a few different tricks like item removal, and a couple of cards that care about moving to the new Disney Lorcana location cards
Id also replace some of the non-colored ramp for colored ramp instead and/or increase the amount of fixing by 2 to 3 cards
The first iteration of games like this must be so difficult
