I feel like were getting close to being able to start seeing some very cool Commander decks and maybe even entire Cubes made of surreal art

The problem with both cards is that holding up five mana to blank a potential attacker is A LOT to ask for from most decks

If you stray even a few millimeters off the official Magic card size, it can result in disqualification at sanctioned events or suspicion of cheating
