I think theyre also a really wonderful part of self-expression in the game. Due to the relaxed nature of the format and the thousands of creatures to choose from, a player can pick a commander not only because its powerful but because something about a particular card speaks to them
He may not look like much, but with the ability to copy any instant or sorcery for the low, low price of a two-power creature, for our money, this anarchic artisan is the best commander in the set by a long way
The typing system is also really basic
Crew 1 (Tap any number of creatures you control with total power 1 or more: This Vehicle becomes an artifact creature until end of turn.) Attacking with any creature will cause the second ability to trigger, even if this Vehicle isn't attacking
Time Thief is still a new Archetype, so it'll only get better with time
For example, if you control two copies of Unnatural Growth, a 2/2 Bear Cub becomes a 4/4 creature when the first ability resolves and then becomes an 8/8 creature when the second one resolves
