I try to avoid those in my EDH decklists, as theyre expensive and if you already own them you dont need my advice to include them
All of these are swingy ways to win a game out of nowhere, or to force an opponent to play scared in order to play around the threat of potential death out of nowhere
You only get one counter per turn and you also need a variety of creature types each turn to get your counter for that turn
Triggered abilities from cycling a card and the cycling ability itself aren't spells
More powerful mechanics came out, outshining those of years past
Jodah, the Unifier You could argue Jodah, the Unifier was designed as more of a midrange commander than an aggressive one, but this uber-lord 5-color commander ends games so quickly between the power boost and putting two legends into play for each card you cast I cant imagine counting it as anything but an aggro deck
