My trigger would be on the stack before their Bane of Progress trigger could resolve, so would I then put the counters on the Bane of Progress

Stax excels in places like cEDH where players have the expectation of trying to win as efficiently as possible and won't get as salty when you actively stop them from playing
Mythic rares drop a bit more frequently this time around, but aside from that, you're getting what you're used to: 10 commons, 3 uncommons, 1 rare or mythic rare, 1 full-art basic land, and 1 token/ad card
It was a fun time full of casual cards and a total lack of strategy
