They cant repeatedly damage your opponent, but they make for great blockers and threatening attackers
Shinedust can be obtained by getting duplicate cards
Other cards have done poorly, even when protected by the Reserved list, loosing value over the years
For starters, without a means to give them haste, you have to wait a turn to see any benefit from a mana dork outside of chump blocking, which you arent going to want to do in the early game or in the face of creatures with trample
It's super flexible, as you can use it when your own horde swings in, or when another player goes in on the offensive (they don't even have to be sending everything/anything at you.) However, while I can see this card working pretty well in any blue/white/green tokens deck, it's obviously best with an MTG commander that cares about birds
