Glistener Elf is basic (and not particularly good outside of 60-card formats), but sometimes thats all you need to have an impact

Better to take whites usual supply of Flying, Lifelink and First Strike creature and make them bigger and better with the second ability

They'll only create Blue or Green, and that mana can only be used to cast creature spells, but that's still very strong
