So I don't think this card will see play, despite it not being too bad

Instant speed means it doesnt even have to be your own combat

Being such an efficient creature that can hit the battlefield on turn one, this can quickly get out of hand by creating 1/1 Cat creature tokens whenever it connects with an opponent (triggering life gain)

Its also great for poison decks, especially in Commander, since infect makes you public enemy #1
