These retro artifacts arent Standard-legal like the rest of the set, but they are legal in both Draft and Sealed - where theyre often absurdly powerful yet a lot of fun to play with
And thats not even considering the more fringe subthemes you could emphasize: historic-matters, deathtouch-matters, sacrifice and graveyard value, face-down creatures these assassins are a flexible lot indeed
many of these effects are designed to ramp, and that just makes it more effective
Not only does it become a massive threat in short order, but it makes anything else you need to be threatening into a killer monster worthy of attention
I assumed I just hadnt gotten to that point in the story yet, but after beating the game, Im still left scratching my head a bit
