Its ability gaining protection from an opponent of your choice is pretty middling in Commander, where you have three opponents

Apart from rally decks, this goblin isnt the worst consideration if your commander gives your creatures myriad (Duke Ulder Ravengard) or otherwise copies them

The drain effect here is a total net gain of 4 life in other words, it creates a gap of 4 life between you and your opponent, and thats pretty nice in a race

Of course, theres always Slinn Voda, the Rising Deep, which can propel the victory

This deck includes some reanimator classics, like Faithless Looting and Entomb, but has plenty of new tricks up its sleeve as well
