It is not very large --just over 8 inches tall--but enough of a knock out that I'd argue to placing at the center of the table

When I saw this beautiful paperweight

plenty of wear but structurally sound and stable

This one is signed Joseph H. Peck on reverse; I have found record of him, his brothers Edward and William, and several more siblings, all who appear to have been born in the 1830s 50s.
