It looks to me that this cover was postmarked 1865

5" x 3 7/16" x 3/4" d

)  On the wooden base is some residue from the old sticker on the front face

I am guessing product of the weight of the lid being a bit too much for the tiny hinge to take

I like to imagine this sign once hung above a big back booth at a local diner

Circulatory System, Old Anatomical Illustration with Great Pose Art Deco sculpture It looks to me thatI haven't been able to find the source on this one, but believe it dates to the early 20th century or so. No layers or fold out parts, but with two horizontal fold lines, surely a fold out insert in a volume on human anatomy. I love his face, and his pose, looking like a swimmer with a circulatory system of a bathing suit and lozenge shaped tattoos! 16 1 2 x 8 7 8 and in very good, clean condition, lies flat.
