I believe this piece is a fairly early Creative Playthings design

The front is shiny while the back shows the original patina

Even better to find it painted on the front door of a "cake safe" with its three original shelves inside--for storing three cakes

with one notable dent to the base at the back

A sweet one in this 1886 copy of Warren's Primary Geography though, with a bit of a Caves of Lascaux feel to this cluster of animal head silhouettes I think! Nice maps inside, too.
