I just love the look of these old hard plastic mini billiard balls--a great mix of colors satisfying just thrown together into a bowl

a dollar and a cent sign

as they were small enough to easily be conceal in a jacket pocket or haversack

and was the subject of a major fraud suit in the 1870s

Made of ironstone, with bright white glaze akin to antique British apothecary jars for toothpaste and cold cream, with great graphics, though this one was made in Vienna by L&C Hardtmuth. It was made as a water well indeed, to be used for moistening stamps or wetting fingertips while counting bills I believe or could be
