Mortlach 2013 13 Year Old Whisky Single Cask #5753 Lady Of The Glen 56.5% 7 Year Old Matured in American oakThe cask yielded only 248 bottles and it was bottled at natural cask strength 56. 5% A full bodied, meaty distillate matured in a hogshead then finished in a first fill ex Oloroso cask for over a year giving layers of rich dried fruit and spice. The Beast of Dufftown really lives up to its name here with this full bodied, rich and fruity malt. Over 2 years in an Oloroso cask has added dried fruit sweetness to balance out the meaty spirit beautifully.
