19th Century Hand-forged Shingling Hatchet chokwe This is the second deck

This is the second deck of these Teuila fortune telling cards I've had--I've been keeping a watch out for them because I think they are really fabulous

but if would take an awfully lot of snuff to fill this one

made in Worchester

with a small bump on the top edge near the center and some dark marks on the reverse

I believe this would have been used for cooking as well as serving

19th Century Hand-forged Shingling Hatchet chokwe This is the second deckI know nothing about axes hatchets and, truth be told, when I found this one I read the hand written tag as saying "slinging" axe, rather than "shingling" axe, which filled me with satisfying visions of throwing this across the yard when in need of release! Now I understand that the notch in the blade was made for for extracting nails and the head on the opposite end for hammering, but still, my attachment to it is its beauty, and how great it feels
