There is a hand-written note on the back of each that dates them to about 1909 and I believe places this Ada and Will Jones in Kenya

I'd assume French

with an aubergine border and an array of patterns in yellow

and the incised signature makes me with think there can't have been many

I love that now it appears as a hand forever in quest of something to grab a hold of
