Built on a steel skeleton, each shade is formed by spraying thin threads of flame retardant resin in tightly spaced layers, gradually building volume much like how a silkworm spins its cocoon. Many layers of threads form the full lampshade and give it a textured, elegant finish. The steel structure remains subtly visible through the resin,
