Each of the eight flaps hanging from the main piece is unique

deep and even basketweave texture

but finally deciphered the signature on the bottom to realize it is by George Kills Pretty Enemy (Pte San Hoksila)

presumed mid- to late-19th century

Please see detailed photos for specific examples of wear to the basket--there are a couple of tiny broken stitches along the top edge of the lid and there is a bit of wear to the cedar bark
