Description

with glaze loss and fleabites just around the perimenter

This is the second of two photographs of swimmers I purchased on a very sweaty day at Brimfield

which I think may have lived within it for nearly 200 years

late 19th or very early 20th century I believe

here this pretty young woman looking straight and confidently at the camera

FWC's 1939 Greenport School Doggy Doorstop with Very Crazy Face painted icon with glaze loss and fleabitesIt's been quite a while since I bought a doggy doorstop but I could not resist the hard trying full of life awkwardness of this one. Quite a face. And is that a black tongue flapping down, or ? The work of a young FWC in 1939 of Greenport School (Long Island?), who looks to have been in the 17th grade! 8 1 4" t x 6 5 8" w x 4 3 8" d and in good, very sturdy and sound condition. Great surface, very sweet.
