who in his younger days built the stair case at the Lancaster

and casting a great shadow

they remind me think a bit of Constructivist sculpture and even more so of the costumes in Oskar Schlemmer's Bauhaus Triadisches Ballett (Triadic Ballet)

Crazing to the glaze all over as well dark spots here and there

each with a few small chips around their openings

Naive Double-Sided Drawing: Painted Pink Rose, Farmhouse with Trees vintage sketch who in his younger daysThis is among of a number of drawings I have listed am listing by the same (surely quite young) maker, 1870s or so I believe, found together in an old notebook already partially disassembled so I went ahead and separated them all. The paint of the bold pink rose on this one sent a fair amount of oil bleed onto the farm drawing on reverse, but a really great rose I this it is! 7 3 4" x 5 1 4".
