Sweet Naive 1880s Graphite Drawing of Hillside Village with Church repetitive This terrific pair of candlesticksI'm really smitten with this sweet little "naive" pencil drawing of a hillside village, one of two in the shop that came from a larger collection of drawings executed by the unknown artist on a Grand Tour encompassing Italy, Germany, Switzerland and Norway. I love everything about it, perhaps the way the row of trees march neatly up the hill behind the village most of all, punctuated by a cross at the very top, but also those tiny benches, all those
