and one can see where the mark was on the underside

My photos aren't great but It should be noted that the graphite on these drawings is a bit faint and so they very much reward close looking

Fish's 1874 Hand-drawn Watercolor Map of Ireland Tamar the lip of the planterI'm forever in search of lovely old hand drawn maps, just like this one of Ireland, done by a Francess D. Fish in 1874, in the days when drawing such a beautiful map as this would have been school work. At the bottom is a handwritten comment by an instructor affirming Francess' accomplishment: "very nicely and carefully drawn." Indeed! Quite a feat to pack in all these counties and cities and towns and mountains and rivers too. Ink with watercolor
