Exploring the extreme remote wilderness that lies within the Rockies has been life changing. I began this painting with the backdrop of St. Mary's Lake in Glacier National Park, MT. From there I brought in all the inspiration that this brilliant countryside of the American West has given me. I imagine a long time ago. A couple early explorers find a place to setup camp for
