But most of all I love the animals that inhabit it: those wading flamingoes

I think it makes for quite a satisfying tabletop object just on its own--the wood is beautiful and the elongated egg form really elegant--though it would be fun to see it put to use as the topper for a whole new construction

The black paint of her hair and brown of her body has aged and worn some highlighting the knife marks of her carving and revealing green undertones in the paint

Sculpturally carved and thick enough to stand up on its own. I believe carved of pine, the dry surface is wonderfully warm with age. 8 1 2" t x 5 7 8" w x 3 4" t. Missing the tip of an ear on one side, but overall very good condition and just great.
