Description

I believe the owner was a Deborah Dunning

The first section of the notebook is comprised of dense notes in pencil that almost look as if written in secret code

perhaps a mythological one

He opened the Laurel Gallery in New York at 108 East 57th Street in 1946 and began exhibiting works by avant-garde artists

scattered stains and age toning as pictured but really great looking still and with no folds or tears

Soulful Little Carved Bald Man Bust red stained I believe the owner wasA wonderfully curious little carved bust, which came out of the same estate as the two faced jig doll and two black haired carved figures I am also listing. To me he looks one part toddler and one part old man and definitely as if a loner in the world, really rather existential feeling. Great little ears too. . 2 5 16" t x 3 4" w x 7 8" d and in very good old vintage condition, I'd guess 1920s 40s or so.
