whether it was drawn as a self-effacing self-portrait of sorts

outlined in copper I believe

It is signed Paul E. Bickford of Southhampton NH on the underside of the base, indicating, I assume, that its maker was pretty pleased with their efforts, too. Theres a repaired and painted over split on the yellow of the legs; I might guess this was made in two pieces to begin
