This salmon rod was refinished by Sam Carlson in 1963 and again in 1989 as noted by an inscription inked on the butt section just above the grip. One tip is 1 1 2" short and the other is 2" short. The rod weighs 9. 2 ounces. The rod appears unfished since the last refinish. The rod comes with a 5" long detachable fishing butt and a neat little black tenite plug covers
