Nice too that this one should have a (perfectly preserved) mirror inside--for checking one's primeness

and definitely an old one

I am not a costume expert

and charming white spots dappling the black ones

SOLD Bathing Beauties, c. 1920s Snapshot of Woman with Water Circus Signage earthenware I shot this in twoI purchased this and one other I am listing at a flea market in Adamstown, PA, plucked from a larger lot all taken at a water circus, c. 1920s I believe. (I should have bought the whole lot for context, but most of them were much less interesting.) Here it is all about the juxtaposition of three women and three types of representation for me the snapshot portrait of woman at left, photographic poster on sandwich board of performer with seal at center,
