Description

with lots of color variation but pretty subtle and very stone like

There is one split running verticality down the center of either short side

and think they must have been done by a very dexterous and meticulous school girl

He might have lost a tail along the way

but I like a hard try-er most of all

C. 1930s-40s Dustpan + Nails Make Do Cranberry Rake, Found in Maine solar prominences with lots of color variationFound in Maine, as might be expected, this is an old "make do" cranberry rake, fashioned of a metal dustpan and two rows of nails, c. 1930s. I really love the horizontal line of nail heads along the front edge, and of course their spikes coming up! The second row of nails spikes comes up from the bottom on the interior. A rake like this (though this is very much one of a kind!) would be used for combing cranberries from vines to harvest. 8 5 8" w x
