and I think it quite a fantastic looking instrument

Northwest Coast Native Vintage Tightly Coiled Handwoven Grass Basket watercolor I found this textile atThis is a beautiful, finely made vintage Northwest Coast Native American basket, presumed Salish. Constructed of tightly coiled grass and in near perfect condition, it features alternating bands of a pale blonde and a darker tan grass, with stair step pattern details in a very dark brown. Really a lovely piece! It measures 4 1 4" tall with a diameter of 7" across at top and 3 1 2" at base. Structurally very strong and with no visible flaws.
