There is a bit of dust caught in one corner underneath the glass and some dings to the wood on the perimeter of the tray but it is is very good overall condition

and all the better with luscious red paint spelling out OPEN in  perfectly imperfect hand-painted bold lettering over top of it

Real Photo Postcard step stook which feel both very muchA curious one, which seems to have been taken in a museum, with signage on the door and next to the pictures hanging on the walls to either side, just out of readable reach. I presume the batten door itself is a very early American one, with what looks to be a hole worn through at the center and with early windsor chairs framing it at either side, as if guards at the literal door.
